Our History
On March 14th, 2020 Hope Over Crisis was the name given to a need recognized and idea birthed years ago. We are a small organization with a big heart that desires to be faithful with the opportunities God provides for us to make a difference in the lives of hurting people throughout the world. Our only motivation is that we believe people are the pinnacle of God's creation, possessing God's image, are eternal, and are therefore, endowed with dignity.

The Why
The Bible is our foundation. Christ is our purpose. The gospel is our reason to bring hope physically and spiritually to those throughout the world in crisis.

The Bible says in Matthew 9:35-38 "And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
Jesus went those in need, he taught, he proclaimed the gospel, he healed, and he had compassion. Then he commanded his disciples to pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest. The harvest remains plentiful and more are needed to respond to those who are hurting physically and spiritually. We believe Jesus has already provided an answer to our prayers, in part, and we see those prayers answered through those who remain faithful in the persecuted church.
Jesus has entrusted the persecuted church with the 10/40 region of the world where they face unprecedented crises, including natural disasters, conflicts, and spiritual desolation. Many individuals, families, and communities find themselves in situations of despair and hopelessness. Local churches, often ill-equipped and isolated, struggle to provide holistic relief and lasting transformation amid these crises. Therefore, on-going discipleship, biblical, theological, and church planting training is non-existent or extremely limited among the persecuted church.

To worship Jesus, by proactively strengthening the persecuted church connecting, equipping, and resourcing them to lead the way in providing an abundant presence of the whole gospel addressing the spiritual, man-made, and natural crises in their communities.

Our Goals
​

To see the persecuted church wholly obedient to Jesus Christ, proactively strengthened and thriving through local and global connections to the church, resourced and equipped (trained) so they are capable of responding swiftly and effectively to spiritual, man-made, and natural crises in their communities.
To see the fullness of hope offered through Jesus Christ lived-out through the persecuted church because of their spiritual vitality and informed discipleship multiplication strategies to the restricted-faith environments (RFEs) and communities surrounding them.
To see the western church awakened and mobilized towards freedom in God’s mission and desperation for the glory of Christ personally and communally by partnering in a sacrificial, supportive, resourceful, and collaborative way with the persecuted church to extend their reach and his love in the darkest parts of the world.
