Lois and Sonny
Benefield
Lois and Sonny Benefield are a resilient and inspiring couple. Sonny, a Vietnam Veteran and retired masonry instructor, and Lois, a former nurse, have dedicated their lives to serving others. Like many, their home was severely flooded, leaving them displaced in a camper an hour away. Despite the challenges, they remain hopeful. While their insurance has been reinstated, no funds have been released, and FEMA has yet to respond to their application submitted nearly 90 days ago. Join us in helping them rebuild and return home.
Minneapolis
Baptist Church
Minneapolis Baptist Church sits at the heart of the Benefields’ small town and has been a pillar of hope for their community. After severe flooding, the church suffered extensive damage, including over two feet of mud in the sanctuary’s lower level. Hope Over Crisis is investing in rebuilding efforts because this church’s leadership is deeply committed to serving their neighbors. By helping restore their facilities, we ensure they can focus their time and resources on meeting their community’s needs for years to come.
Upcoming
Restoration Projects
The needs in these communities are overwhelming, far outpacing the available money, volunteers, and resources. Yet, we trust in God’s provision and guidance. Together with Hope Over Crisis, we are committed to assisting churches that serve their neighbors and reaching neighbors who need the church’s help. We will continue this mission faithfully until the Lord leads us otherwise, confident that He will use these efforts for His glory and the good of His people.
